The La Vista Public Library officially opened on December 1, 1999.  It has expanded from an old 4,000 square foot facility to a spacious modern facility of 24,000 square feet.

Library materials include books and periodicals, audio books and cassettes, CDs, videos and DVDs. The library offers a computer lab with online databases, Microsoft Office XP and Internet access.  Also available are: study rooms, interlibrary loan, preschool and toddler storytimes, CD-ROMs for children and adults, a Summer Reading Program, seasonal stories and crafts, and group tours.
